This Monkey Pod round originates from the forests of Costa Rica in Central America. Color tends to be a golden to dark brown, sometimes with darker streaks throughout, with thin yellow/white sapwood along the edges. Monkey Pod is sometimes seen with highly figured, curly or wild grain patterns and has a medium to coarse texture. It is lightweight and fairly strong and finishes to a beautiful hue.
